FSU Junior Elizabeth Maloy Will Perform Clarinet Recital

Frostburg State University junior Elizabeth Maloy will perform a clarinet recital at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, at the FSU Performing Arts Center Pealer Recital Hall. The recital will include Schumann’s “Fantasiestücke, Op. 73,” Berio’s “Lied per Clarinetto Solo,” Mendelssohn’s “Konzertstück Nr. 2 d-Moll, op. 114” and Mozart’s “Concerto for Clarinet in A, K. 622.”

Maloy will be accompanied on piano by Jean Wood-Kobert and on the Mendelssohn piece by FSU instructor Mark Gallagher on clarinet.

A music performance major, Maloy expects to graduate in May 2010. Maloy has studied under Gallagher. Her earlier instruction was under Olive Wagner. Maloy is a member of the Friends of Music.

She is the daughter of Timothy Maloy and Renée Pelletier of Waldorf, Md. Maloy’s performance is free and open to the public. For information, contact FSU’s Department of Music at 301-687-4109.
