FSU Opera Workshop Class to Present "Hansel and Gretel"

Frostburg State University's Department of Music's Opera Workshop Class will present the opera "Hansel and Gretel" by Engelbert Humperdinck Friday, Nov. 10, and Saturday Nov. 11, at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Drama Theatre.

Scenes from Bizet's "Carmen" and Strauss' "Die Fledermaus" will also be performed. Performers include Lauren Aycock, Natalie Clark, Elizabeth Collins, Johanna Eckhart, Derrick Jackson, Brian Kosior, Jen McClellan, Autumn Monahan and Brenda J. Pease.

The production is under the direction of Rickard Kagey and the musical direction of Kathryn Sincell-Corwell, with Kimberly Andrews accompanying. It is suitable for all ages. This production is partially sponsored by the FSU Performing Arts Center.
