FSU Participates in the Debate Watch Program

Frostburg State University will join many other colleges, universities and communities throughout the United States and participate in the 2004 Presidential Debate Watch program. These debates, hosted by the FSU Center Stage Program and by Dr. Ruth Wallinger’s Presentational Communication class, will be held 8:30 to 11 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 30; Tuesday, Oct. 5; and Wednesday, Oct. 13. All presentations will be held in the Lane University Center Loft.

The Debate Watch program is sponsored through the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) and focuses on educating voters throughout the U.S. The program brings community members together to watch the televised presidential and vice presidential debates and then invites viewers to join in an interactive discussion hosted by Dr. Ruth Wallinger’s Presentational Communication class. This program allows members of the campus and local communities to share their thoughts on the candidates and the issues surrounding the upcoming election.

The Debate Watch Programs are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Sara Livengood, Center Stage program advisor, at 301-687-4151.

FSU is committed to making all of its programs, services, and activities accessible to person with disabilities. You may request accommodations through the ADA Compliance Office at 301-687-4102, TDD 301-687-7955.
