FSU Presents Educational Discussion/Displays Commemorating Constitution Day 2006

In honor of Constitution Day, a national initiative to increase awareness of the U.S. Constitution among federal government employees and students, Frostburg State University will present an educational discussion at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 28, in the Lane University Center Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall.

The keynote speaker will be Judge J. Frederick Sharer of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. This event is sponsored by the Beall Institute for Public Affairs and the FSU Department of Political Science. In addition to the educational discussion, the FSU Ort Library will feature the display and exhibit “Historical Mapping of Western Maryland in 1787” through Sept. 29 on the third floor. The display will include a DVD presentation on the Maryland delegates to the Constitutional Convention of 1787, a computer available with access to links about the Constitution, information on the original 13-star flag, information about Western Maryland circa 1787 and information on military lots during the time.
