FSU Presents “Oil in Nigeria: A Blessing or Curse?”

Ann Genova, a Frostburg State University graduate student, will present an informative talk on “Oil in Nigeria: A Blessing or Curse” on Thursday, Oct. 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Leake Room of the FSU Cordts Physical Education Center.

Genova recently returned from a trip to Nigeria where she found more facts about the oil located there. She has submitted for publication a manuscript on the politics of oil. In addition to writing her book, Genova is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Texas. The FSU College of Business, the African American Studies Program, Politics, Law and Society Club and the African American Studies Society are sponsoring her presentation.

This presentation is free and open to the public and will be followed by a question and answer period.
