FSU to Present Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

FSU to Present Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”
Frostburg State University Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16, and Thursday through Saturday, April 21 to 23, at 7:30 p.m., with a Saturday matinee on April 16 at 2 p.m. in the Drama Theatre of the Performing Arts Center.

One of Shakespeare’s warmest comedies, FSU’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is set in the roaring ’20s jazz era of New Orleans, where deep in a bayou on a moonlit night, three stories of love and aspiration intertwine when love potions take hold in a fairy world and go feverishly awry. Youthful, magical and wild, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” playfully reminds us that “the course of love never did run smooth.”

For reservations and information for this University Theatre production, contact the Theatre and Dance Box Office at 301-687-7462 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $6 for students and $12 for the general public. Group discounts are available when booked in advance.
