FSU University Theatre to Present Children's Show, "Quest for the Dragon"

The Spring University Theatre Children's Show at Frostburg State University, "Quest for the Dragon," will be presented on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 at 2 p.m. both days in the Performing Arts Center's F. Perry Smith Studio Theatre.

Directed by Jennifer Null of FSU's theatre department, this whimsical play tells the tale of a kingdom plagued by a dragon. The king (Sonie Mathew) sends forth some of his subjects to slay the dragon (Tony Washington). Things don't go exactly according to plan, but the players find an unusual and satisfactory solution. Besides the king and the dragon, the cast consists of Debby Sellers as the princess; Scott Deans and Jennifer Bonner as the jesters; Joe Higdon as the farmer and Dominick Massino as the knight. All are students, except for Washington, an FSU graduate who now works in the University's AmeriCorps office.

Tickets for "Quest for the Dragon" are $1 per person. For information and reservations, call (301) 687-4145, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The play will tour several area elementary schools during the first week of April.

FSU is committed to making all of its programs, services and activities accessible to persons with disabilities. You may request accommodations through the ADA Compliance Office, (301) 687-4102, TDD (301) 687-7955.
