FSU’s Activities for Life Offers Preschool and Beginner’s Tumbling Classes

Activities for Life at Frostburg State University will offer a preschool tumbling class for children ages 3 and 4 and a beginner’s tumbling class for children ages 5 to 12 years on Mondays, Nov. 25 through Dec. 16, in room 106 of the Cordts Physical Education Center. The preschool class will be held from 5:30 to 6 to p.m. and the beginner’s class will be from 6 to 7 p.m.

The preschool class will include activities such as cartwheels, rolls and other simple movements. It is designed to teach flexibility, strength, muscle control and coordination. The class is limited to 15 students who have little or no formal tumbling training. A parent is required to participate with each child.

The beginner’s class will include basic floor tumbling exercises and some work on the low balance beam.

Instructors are Eugene Younger, Cat Ardoin and Jenell Boardley.
