FSU’s Rebecca Snow to Perform Senior Vocal Recital

Frostburg State University student Rebecca Snow will present her senior mezzo-soprano recital, with pianist Judith Brown, on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.

Snow will perform works by Scarlatti, Bellini, Brahms, Gluck, Williams, Weill and Niles. She will also perform Irving Berlin’s “What’ll I Do?” and George Gershwin’s “Someone to Watch Over Me.”

Snow is studying voice with FSU professor Dr. Karen Soderberg. She is a member of Delta Omicron International professional music fraternity, Music Educators National Conference, Collegiate Percussive Arts Society and is a stage manager in the Department of Music. Snow received the Academic Honors Scholarship and Guild Scholarship for Music and is on FSU’s Dean’s List. She is the daughter of John and Joanna Snow of La Plata, Md., and a 2007 graduate of Henry E. Lackey High School. Snow expects to graduate in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in music education and plans to become a music educator in the area of vocal music, orchestra and band.
