Gittleson Named to Jewish Sports Review All-America Team

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Frostburg State junior midfielder Jodie Gittleson (Rockville, Md./Wootton) has been named to the Jewish Sports Review 2004 All-America College Soccer Team.

Gittleson, one of 12 first-team selections among players at NCAA Division II and III institutions, scored 11 goals and added three assists to finish third on the Bobcat squad with 25 points.

The first-team All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference pick started all 20 games and scored three game-winners.

Frostburg State finished 14-3-3 overall and 8-1 in the AMCC this past season. The Bobcats won the AMCC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight year.

FSU edged Westminster 5-3 in penalty kicks in the first round before falling to eventual national quarterfinalist Christopher Newport 2-1 in the region semifinals.
