Gittleson Named to Jewish Sports Review All-America Team

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — For the second straight year, Frostburg State senior midfielder Jodie Gittleson (Rockville, Md./Wootton) has been named to the Jewish Sports Review 2005 All-America College Soccer Team.

Gittleson is again one of 12 first-team selections among players at NCAA Division II and III institutions.

This past fall, she netted four goals and added four assists to finish fourth on the team with 12 points.

She captained the Bobcats to an 11-6-3 overall record and an 8-0-1 AMCC mark. The Bobcats won their fourth straight AMCC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight year as well. FSU would unfortunately fall to Denison in the first round, 1-0.

Gittleson, a four-time All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference selection, finishes her career starting 77 games for the Bobcats, while scoring 20 goals and adding seven assists.

She is an elementary education major and will graduate in May.
