Golf Fourth at AMCC Championships

PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Frostburg State golf team finished the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship in fourth place this past weekend.

The Bobcats shot a two-round total of 696 and tied for fourth with Pitt-Bradford. Penn State Altoona won the title with a 653 followed by La Roche with a 667 and Penn State Behrend with a 680.

Junior Joe Eaton (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville) tied for fifth overall and led the team with a 165.

Senior James Avampato (Havre De Grace, Md./Aberdeen) was second on the FSU squad with a 173 followed by junior Sean Buenger (Westminster, Md./Westminster) with a 175. Freshman Ralph Baker (Prince Frederick, Md./Calvert) was fourth on the team with a 185.

Frostburg State returns to action on Thursday, October 12 at the ECAC Regional Championships hosted by Penn State Altoona.
