Hamor Sets School Record in 500-Freestyle as Bobcats Sweep Savannah Art & Design and Warren Wilson

SAVANNAH, GA - Frostburg State sophomore Heather Hamor (Nanjemoy, Md./Lackey) set a school record in the 500-freestyle to pace the Bobcat women to a sweep of Savannah College of Art & Design and Warren Wilson Tuesday night.

Hamor swam the 500 in 5:26.15, surpassing Pamela Grant's former mark of 5:26.37 set February 22, 1996.

Hamor has now set two FSU records this season. She swam the 1,650-freestyle in 18:50.71 at the Grove City Longnecker Invitational December 5, breaking Kathy Podlesny's long-standing time of 19:01.58 set February 21, 1988.

The Bobcat women (3-5) beat Savannah Art & Design, 58-30, and downed Warren Wilson 77-9.

The FSU men (5-3) posted a 51-32 win over SCAD and a 72-10 victory over Warren Wilson.
