Lacrosse Falls Short Against Catholic

WASHINGTON — Freshman Page Macey (Linthicum, Md./North County) scored a team-high four goals, but it wasn't enough as host Catholic held off Frostburg State, 11-9, Tuesday afternoon at DuFour Field.

Catholic (6-7) pulled away from a 5-4 halftime lead and held an 11-7 advantage before FSU found the net twice, the last on Macey's final goal of the day with just 47 seconds to play.

Cardinal senior Ann Lawall scored four goals to lead three Catholic players with four points each.

Seniors Melissa Lennon (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) and Adey Ntam (Silver Spring, Md./John F. Kennedy), junior Andrea Duffy (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and freshmen Courtney Bayless (Baltimore, Md./Mercy) and Melissa Tomko (Laurel, Md./Pallotti) also found the net once each for the Bobcats.

FSU sophomore Sarah Shockley (Fallston, Md./Fallston) made 22 saves for FSU, which fell to 4-4 on the season.

The Bobcats return to action on Satuday when they complete a stretch of five straight road games with a visit to Goucher College at 1:00 p.m.
