McDonald Named AMCC Volleyball Player of the Week

Pittsburgh, PA — Frostburg State freshman Carly McDonald (Northern/Owings, Md.) was honored for her play last week by being named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Volleyball Player of the Week Monday afternoon.

McDonald, filling in at setter this past week, had 95 assists for an average of 7.9 per game. She also added 11 kills and 23 digs for the week to help lead the Bobcats on a four-game winning streak.

Frostburg State remains unbeaten in AMCC play at 10-0 and has improved its overall record to 21-9 under second-year Head Coach Jeff Billington.

FSU has two conference matches remaining and looks to complete its fourth perfect AMCC season in the past five years.
