Men's Basketball Falls to Gallaudet

WASHINGTON - Junior Pierre Bowery (Kensington, Md./Albert Einstein) scored 26 points and three other Bobcats scored in double digits, but FSU couldn't hold a 12-point second-half lead and fell to host Gallaudet, 91-85, Monday night in Washington.

Frostburg State (7-9) trailed 39-35 at halftime before eventually building a 67-55 lead with 13:00 remaining.

However, Gallaudet (5-11) rallied behind the strong play of Jeremias Valencia and Frank Jackson. Valencia posted 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting, including 3-of-4 from three-point range. Jackson, who entered the game among the nation's scoring leaders with 24.2 points per game, added 24 points.

Freshman Kamillo Rosenthal (Munich, Germany/Catholic (Va.)) scored a career-high 16 points, while junior A.J. Ernst (Minster, Ohio/Minster) and sophomore Dustin Robinson (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) added 12 and 10, respectively.

The Bobcats return to action on Wednesday when they host La Roche in a crucial Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest beginning at 8 p.m.
