Men's Soccer Battles Alvernia to 1-1 Draw

After a scoreless first half and a 1-0 deficit in the second, freshman Stephen Zoutman (Goshen/Chester, N.Y.) found the net with just over 14 minutes left to force a 1-1 tie with Alvernia on Saturday.

Bill Brown scored for Alvernia in the 54th minute to take a 1-0 lead.

In the 76th minute, freshman Keeper Tom Sadler (Sandy Spring Friends/Silver Spring, Md.)kicked a great punt to set up the Zoutman score. The goal was the first of Zoutman's collegiate career.

The Bobcats (2-3-1) return to action on Saturday, October 4th when the face host Washington & Jefferson at 1:00 p.m.
