Men's Soccer Defeats Bethany for Third Straight Win

BETHANY, WV — Senior Onyibo Ilochi (Silver Spring, Md./Rockville) scored the game-winning goal off a feed from freshman Trevor Havey (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) early in the second half as the Frostburg State men’s soccer team defeated Bethany 2-1 on Thursday afternoon.

The Bobcats improved to 6-3-1 with their third straight win, while Bethany fell to 5-5.

Havey started the scoring with his fourth goal of the year at the 23:53 mark with junior Dan Simpson (Dunkirk, Md./Northern) getting his first assist of the season.

Danny Orwa scored the lone Bethany goal in the 82nd minute.

Sophomore Tom Sadler (Silver Spring, Md./Sandy Spring Friends) recorded three saves while picking up his third win of the season.

The Bobcats return to action on Saturday when they host Medaille College at 3:00 pm.
