Men's Soccer Defeats Division II Pitt-Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, PA — The Frostburg State men’s soccer team defeated Division II Pitt-Johnstown 1-0 Thursday afternoon improving to 9-5-1 overall.

Bobcat freshman Kenny Dotter (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point) scored the game's only goal in the 24th minute.

Junior goalkeeper Bryn Varhol (Alexandria, Va./Bishop O'Connell) recorded one save while collecting his third shutout of the season.

“We played a good game and were able to capitalize early,” says FSU Head Coach Keith Byrnes. “We played hard for 90 minutes and the bench did a good job in contributing. It's good to get back on the winning track heading into our game against Penn State Behrend this weekend.”

Frostburg State returns to action Saturday when it hosts Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn State Behrend at 3:00 pm.
