Men's Soccer Edges Southern Virginia With Last-Minute Goal

FROSTBURG, MD - Sophomore James Denison (Fort Walsh, Md./Canterbury) headed a cross from senior Gary Lesko (Waldorf, Md./McDonough) into the net with just 28 seconds remaining to give FSU a 1-0 win over visiting Southern Virginia College.

The Bobcats, who dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 decision to Eastern Mennonite when the Royals scored with only eight seconds left in regulation, improved to 6-4 on the year. It was Denison's first goal of the season.

Junior Mike Pregnall (Herndon, Va./Oakton) made nine saves in the win, while Knight keeper Facundo Magnanti stopped six shots.

Frostburg State, which held a slight 13-12 advantage in shots, returns to action on Wednesday when it visits Western Maryland at 4:00 p.m.
