Men's Soccer Falls to Gettysburg in Season Opener

Gettysburg, Pa. ... Gettysburg senior Clayton Krum scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute to give the Bullets a 2-1 victory over Frostburg State in the season-opener for both teams Saturday afternoon.

The Bullets took a 1-0 lead in the game's 20th minute when junior Michael Bruno knocked home the rebound of senior Mike McLaughlin's shot from 20 yards out.

Frostburg State tied the match in the 40th minute as freshman Philip Rub (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg) connected off a corner kick for his first career goal.

Junior Steve Kopp made five saves for Gettysburg, while Bobcat junior Mike Pregnall (Herndon, Va./Oakton) also stopped five shots.

Frostburg State travels to Allentown, Pa. this weekend for the Muhlenberg College Classic. The Bobcats will take on Drew University on Friday at 4:00 p.m. before facing Oswego State (N.Y.) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
