Men's Soccer Falls to St. Lawrence

POTSDAM, NY — Frostburg State lost to St. Lawrence University 6-0 Sunday afternoon on the final day of the Doug May Lotto Classic. The Saints entered the game 2-0 and ranked No. 9 in the nation according to the NSCAA/adidas Preseason Coaches Poll.

The Bobcats (1-1) were outshot 20-1 with junior Kodjo Gnatiko (Montgomery Village, Md./Montgomery Blair) recording their only shot.

Junior goalie Bryn Varhol (Alexandria, Va./Bishop O'Connell) made eight saves while giving up all six goals.

Junior Steve Watson scored four goals to lead the Saints, while senior Ryan O’Dowd had two assists.

Bobcat sophomore defender Jo-Jo Duah (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook (Potomac State)), junior forward Kodjo Gnatiko (Montgomery Village, Md./Montgomery Blair), and senior midfielder Onyibo Ilochi (Silver Spring, Md./Rockville) were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Frostburg State returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Gettysburg College at 5:00 pm.
