Men's Soccer Shuts Out Oswego State For First Win of Year

Allentown, Pa. ... Frostburg State picked up its first win of the season by blanking Oswego State, 2-0, in the Muhlenberg College Classic Saturday afternoon in Allentown.

Sophomore Steve Brett (Cumberland, Md./Fort Hill) scored his first goal as a Bobcat in the game's 40th minute off a pass from fellow sophomore Mike Mutchler (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) to put FSU ahead 1-0 at halftime.

Senior Brad Limbacher (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) notched his first goal of the year with just under four minutes remaining in the game to give FSU a two-goal cushion in the closing moments.

Junior Mike Pregnall (Herndon, Va./Oakton) made five saves for the Bobcats, who held a slight 13-10 advantage in shots. Laker goalie Alex Zarbester stopped eight shots for the Lakers.

Frostburg State (1-2) hosts Penn State Altoona in its Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opener on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
