Men's Soccer Wins On the Road at Bethany

Bethany, WV - Led by sophomore Kodjo Gnatiko, Frostburg State won its first road game of the year Thursday afternoon,defeating host Bethany (W. Va.) 3-1.

Bethany was first on the board when Lavel Williams found the net in the 13th minute.

In the 41st minute, sophomore Matt Moffa (Eastern Tech/Baltimore, Md.) leveled the score at 1-1, when he scored off an assist from freshman keeper Tom Sadler (Sandy Spring Friends/Silver Spring, Md.)

Sophomore Kodjo Gnatiko (Montgomery Blair/Montgomery Village, Md.) found the net twice in the second half. He scored the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute off an assist from Moffa and the final goal in the 71st minute off an assist from freshman Dave Stinson (Urbana/Ijamsville, Md.)

Frostburg State (2-3) returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Alvernia College for a game at 3:00 p.m.
