Men's Tennis Blanked by Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. — Frostburg State was blanked 9-0 by host Grove City in men’s tennis action Saturday afternoon at the Grove City College Tennis Courts.

The Wolverines improved to 10-4 overall with their seventh win in their last eight matches, while the Bobcats fell to 1-12 with their 11th straight defeat.

Senior Gary Lyst (Silver Spring, Md./Blair) and freshman Matt Chisholm (La Plata, Md./La Plata) dropped a narrow 9-7 decision to Brent Moon and Brock Thompson at No. 1 doubles before Grove City claimed the other two doubles flights by 8-3 and 8-1 scores.

The Wolverines won all six singles matches in straight sets.

FSU is back in action Sunday at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships to be held at the Oxford North Athletic Club in Wexford, Pa.
