Men's Tennis Falls to NCAA Division II W.Va. Wesleyan

BUCHANNON, W. Va. - Junior Matt Chisholm (La Plata, Md./La Plata) and sophomore Greg Shedd (Middletown, Md./Middletown) recorded the only point for Frostburg State as the men’s tennis team fell to NCAA Division II West Virginia Wesleyan, 8-1, Tuesday.

M. Chisholm and Shedd led the Bobcats (1-2) to their only win of the match in No. 1 doubles with a 9-8 victory over Daniel Lobo and Bryan Corder.

Seniors Chris Schoenbauer (Riva, Md./South River) and Brad Yoder (Hyndman, Pa./Christian Liberty Academy) lost a close match in No. 3 doubles, 8-6, against Joey Jiblets and Eric Johnson and in singles action, junior Ryan Rice (Hampton, Va./Shape American) had the closest match losing to Corder 6-4, 6-4.

FSU returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Seton Hill at 3:30 pm.
