Mountain City Cookie Contest Returns to Frostburg’s Storybook Holiday
11/21/2014

The Mountain City Cookie Contest will return as a part of the 11th annual Storybook Holiday on Saturday, Dec. 6, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Gunter Hotel Ballroom. For $1, visitors can taste a sample of each entered cookie and vote for their favorite in the People’s Choice or Kid’s Choice categories.

Several Frostburg residents and dignitaries will serve as judges for the Mountain City award. Winning cookies in the three categories will be announced and awards will be presented to the bakers at the Festival of Trees lighting event at 6:30 p.m. at City Place.

A free cookie-decorating event for children will also begin at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, in the Gunter ballroom. Each child will create a sweet masterpiece with a sugar cookie provided by M&M Bakery in Cumberland.
