Naylor Named AMCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

GIBSONIA, Pa. — Frostburg State sophomore midfielder Jen Naylor (Riva, Md./St. Mary’s) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Monday. It is the first AMCC weekly honor of her career.

Naylor scored three goals to lead the Bobcats to a perfect 3-0 week. She converted a penalty kick to open FSU’s 2-1 win over La Roche last Tuesday and netted a pair of unassisted goals to pace FSU’s 3-0 victory against Lake Erie this past Saturday.

The Bobcats then blanked Hilbert 2-0 on Sunday to clinch their third straight AMCC regular-season title and the top seed in the upcoming AMCC Tournament.

FSU is currently 9-5-2 overall and 8-0-1 in the AMCC. The Bobcats are undefeated in their last nine matches, outscoring their opponents 32-1 and posting eight shutouts during that stretch.

FSU closes out its regular season Thursday when it visits Villa Julie for a non-conference match beginning at 3:30 pm.
