O'Brien, Quisgard Honored by Atlantic Central Football Conference

Dover, Del. ... Frostburg State junior George O'Brien (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) and freshman Nick Quisgard (Baltimore, Md./John Carroll) each earned weekly honors from the Atlantic Central Football Conference Monday.

O'Brien was named ACFC Defensive Player of the Week after his spectacular performance in FSU's 25-23 road upset of Division I-AA Marist Saturday night.

In his first career start, O'Brien led FSU's defensive effort with 13 tackles, including four for loss and 3.5 sacks.

He also added five quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles as the Bobcats held Marist to six first downs and three points in the second half.

Quisgard, also making his first career start, earned ACFC Rookie of the Week honors after kicking a 30-yard field goal with 1:23 left in the game to provide the winning points in FSU's 25-23 victory over Marist.

He also averaged 37.6 yards on eight punts, booming a long of 61 and a 54-yarder that was downed at the Marist one-yard line, setting up a Bobcat safety.

Wesley senior quarterback Jason Visconti was named the ACFC Offensive Player of the Week after completing 32-of-55 pass attempts for 476 yards and two touchdowns in a 54-36 loss to 15th-ranked Rowan. He also added a rushing touchdown.

He set ACFC single-game records with 464 yards of total offense and 55 pass attempts.
