Presentation at FSU to Focus on Managing Challenging Behaviors

The Tri-State chapter of Phi Delta Kappa is hosting a presentation at Frostburg State University titled "Managing Challenging Behaviors: Positive Support Strategies" Friday, March 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lane Center's Manicur Assembly Hall. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Dr. Barbara Ludlow, a professor of special education at West Virginia University, will discuss the reasons why students engage in inappropriate behaviors, describe positive support strategies for preventing and defusing problem behaviors and discuss management plans for teaching students to substitute more appropriate and socially acceptable behaviors to accomplish the same goals.
