Psychology Students Receive Internship Opportunities

Eleven senior psychology majors from Frostburg State University are participating in internships this spring. Their internship sites offer a wide variety of experiences and are located throughout Maryland from Garret County to Baltimore. In preparation for their responsibilities as an intern, the students must pass their goals and objectives for the semester.

Although most of the sites are focused on the helping aspect of psychology, Alecia Eubanks is working as a research intern at the Maryland Lottery in Baltimore. Also located in Baltimore are Dolly Moore and Robin Ridgely interning at Sheppard Pratt, a behavior health system, and Sarah Forbes at Epoch Counseling Center. In Cumberland, Carla Warner interns at The Family Center and Jessica Roldan is at The Lois E. Jackson Unit working in the area of adolescent addictions. Becky Brennan interns at the Allegany County Alternative School in Eckhart, Stephanie Zych works with the school counselors at Beall High School, and Karley Moss interns with Life Skills, an after-school mental health program. In Garrett County, Mary Evans Jackson at The Backbone Mountain Youth Center and Misty Sereno interning at Maryland Salem Children’s Trust.
