Reese Ties Own School Record at NYU Invitational

NEW YORK — Senior Cindy Reese (Westminster, Md./Westminster) and freshman Laura Knight (Fallston, Md./Bel Air) competed in the NYU FastTrack Invitational Friday looking to meet the qualifying standards for the NCAA Division III National Championships in the pole vault.

Reese cleared 10-6, placing second and tying her own indoor school record she set at the Mason-Dixon Conference Championships February 22.

Her mark meets the standard for the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships to be held this Friday and Saturday at Tufts University in Medford, Mass. She is just 3/4 inches from the automatic qualifying mark for the NCAA Championship meet.

Knight turned in a height of 9-0 to finish 10th.

"Both Cindy and Laura vaulted well this past weekend," said Bobcat second-year head coach Felix Moreno. "I've been very pleased with their performances this year."
