Rohrs Captures Sixth at NCAA Indoor Championships

NORTHFIELD, Minn. — Freshman Sumer Rohrs (Frostburg, Md./Forest (Fla.)) captured sixth place in the 55-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships Saturday afternoon on the campus of St. Olaf University.

She captured sixth in a time of 8.36 with Sheana Grigsby of Carthage winning the event in 8.05.

In the preliminaries on Friday, Rohrs was second in the first heat and bettered the Tostrud Center’s record with a time of 8.35.

Sophomore Adrienne Raiford (Capitol Heights, Md./Gwynn Park) represented FSU in the 55-meter dash. In the preliminaries, she placed sixth in the second heat with a time of 7.44. However, she did not qualify for the finals.

Frostburg State begins its outdoor season on March 24-25 at the Raleigh Relays on the campus on N.C. State University.
