FROSTBURG, Md. — Frostburg State freshman Sumer Rohrs (Frostburg, Md./Forest (Fla.)) has recently been named a U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-American for her performance at the 2006 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Rohrs finished runner-up and tied the school record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.22. Sheana Grigsby of Carthage College was the national champion in the hurdle event after running a time of 14.06.

Rohrs is the first women’s NCAA outdoor all-american for FSU since Maria Ferguson earned the honor in 2002.

The top eight finishers in each event at the NCAA Championships earn All-America recognition.
