Routzahn Finishes Ninth at NCAA National Championships

WHITEWATER, WISC. — Freshman Anna Routzahn (Frederick, Md./Frederick) tied for ninth place in the women's high jump over the weekend at the Division III National Championships in Whitewater, Wisc.

Routzahn, who qualified for the event with a height of 5-6 (1.68m) at the Bucknell University Winter Classic, placed in the top ten with her height of 5-3/4 (1.61m), narrowly missing All-American accolades by one spot.

"Anna was extremely competitive and got a taste of what the NCAA Championships is all about," said head coach Felix Moreno. "I am proud of her performance and the work she put in to get there. This was certainly the biggest meet of her life and she performed like a true champion."

Frostburg State returns to action March 27-28 as it kicks off its outdoor season at the Mary Washington Battleground Relays in Fredericksburg, Va.
