Singer Eric Hutchinson to Perform Live at the FSU Loft

Frostburg State University's Live at the Loft Series presents the unique, exciting sound of Eric Hutchinson on Friday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. in the Lane University Center Loft.

With his refreshing brand of acoustic pop, 21-year-old Hutchinson has spent the last seven years steadily converting audiences all across the nation into fans. His energetic and humorous live performances have built him a reputation from New York to Boston to Los Angeles as a dynamic young star with unmistakably original songs.

Hutchinson's latest release, the five-song "Songs For Nagoya" continues his exploration into a fresh acoustic sound that has led some critics to compare his work to the straight-forward emotion of Ben Harper, the clever lyricism of Paul Simon, and the catchy hooks of Dave Matthews. But while his influences range from Billy Joel and Elvis Costello to Michael Jackson, his music has emerged as a unique sound all its own.

The concert is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. This event is sponsored by Center Stage and the Office of Student and Community Involvement.
