Softball Listed Among National Leaders in This Week's NCAA Statistics

FROSTBURG, MD — The Frostburg State softball team is among the national leaders in this week's NCAA Division III statistics through games played April 20.

Freshman Ashley Martin (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) leads all Division III players with 1.57 runs batted in per game, having driven in a school-record tying 33 runs in 21 games.

Martin is also ranked seventh in the country with .52 doubles per game, smacking 11 in 21 contests.

Junior Richelle Foor (Everett, Pa./Everett) is 28th in the nation with 1.14 RBI per game, knocking in 24 in 21 games.

As a team, the Bobcats rank seventh in scoring at 8.29 runs per game and 18th with a .342 batting average.

Frostburg State, 13-8 overall, return to action Saturday when it hosts Villa Julie for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm.
