Softball Sweeps AMCC Weekly Honors

GIBSONIA, Pa. - Frostburg State swept the weekly Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference softball awards Monday. Senior Bethany Seyler (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) was named the Player of the Week while classmate Jen Cook (Cresaptown, Md./Allegany) was honored as the Pitcher of the Week.

Seyler was 6-for-11 (.545) with a double and her second career homerun as a Bobcat. She also contributed two runs and three RBIs as FSU posted a 3-1 week and captured sole possession of first place in the conference.

Cook picked up three wins to lift her league-leading total to 13. In 21.1 innings of work, she allowed just two runs, eight hits and three walks while striking out 34. She also has the lowest earned run average (1.94) in the league.

The Bobcats (13-9, 9-1 AMCC) return to action this afternoon when they travel to Juniata for a doubleheader at 3:00 pm.
