Swimming Loses to Salisbury

SEVERNA PARK, MD — The Frostburg State men’s and women’s swimming teams lost to Salisbury Saturday afternoon at the SPY Aquatic Facility. The men lost 131-74, while the women lost 159-46.

Seniors Sean Leaman (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) and Chris Williams (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College) picked up two first place finishes apiece. Leaman took the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle with times of 5:19.98 and 10:556.66, respectively.

Williams topped all sprinters with a time of 22.13 in the 50-yard freestyle and 50.79 in the 100-yard freestyle.

On the women’s side, sophomore Shannon Dunnigan (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) took home a victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:55.81.

Frostburg State returns to action tomorrow when it hosts Grove City.
