TopMastersInEducation.com Lists FSU’s Master’s in Education Among Top 50 Best Value Residential Programs

TopMastersInEducation.com, an online independent guide to earning a master’s in education degree, recently ranked Frostburg State University number 28 of the 50 top schools that offer residential master’s in education degree programs in the United States for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Schools and programs were evaluated based on publicly available information about accreditation, academic quality, student satisfaction, reputation in the field and cost. TopMastersInEducation.com Best Value rankings were designed to help prospective students make a smart choice about where to invest their time and money in earning their degree.

The ranking is based on full-time enrollment cost of attendance at public four-year colleges or universities. The cost of attendance is based on room and board, tuition, fees, books and transportation for in-state full-time graduate students living on campus who will start the program in fall 2015. TopMastersInEducation.com calculated the cost of attendance for in-state students of FSU’s master’s in education at $21,000.

The degree program at FSU is a 36-credit hour M.Ed. program. Prospective students must undergo an interview process, have a bachelor’s degree and a valid teacher certificate and submit writing samples and letters of recommendation. FSU is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. FSU offers a Master of Education degree for teachers in curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, reading and special education as well as a Master of Education for non-teachers in Interdisciplinary and school counseling.

TopMastersinEducation.com provides objective rankings and critical reviews of master’s in education degree programs and colleges of education, as well as helpful resources on scholarships and financial aid, news and stories on the state of the education field and career advice from knowledgeable and experienced educators.
