Volleyball Falls to Penn State Behrend in AMCC Championship Match

ALTOONA, PA — Penn State Behrend ended Frostburg State's four-year dominance of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference by handing the Bobcats a 3-1 defeat (30-24, 30-24, 21-30, 30-23) in the league tournament championship match Saturday afternoon at Penn State Altoona.

The Bobcats, who upset No. 1 seed Penn State Altoona, 3-1, Friday night, were led by junior Marjorie Loggie (Gaithersburg, Md./Watkins Mill), who posted 10 kills.

Freshman Lauren Petrick (Denton, Md./North Caroline) recorded seven kills, while freshman Carrie Ness (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) posted 29 assists.

Freshman April Caprarola (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) notched 11 digs. Frostburg State, which had won all four previous AMCC titles, ended its season with a 14-18 overall record.
