Volleyball Falls to Salisbury in Five

Salisbury, MD - Frostburg State rallied from a 2-0 deficit with wins in games three and four, but the Bobcats fell short in their comeback bid, 15-13 in game five, against host Salisbury in their opening match of the Sea Gull Classic Friday afternoon.

Salisbury took game one, 30-22, before edging the Bobcats, 31-29, in the second contest.

Frostburg State (4-6) got on the board with a 30-25 victory in game three and used a 30-23 win in the fourth stanza to force the deciding match.

Junior Stacy Bureau led the Bobcats with 11 kills and 14 digs, while freshman Carrie Ness added 35 assists.

A power outage forced FSU's second match against Richard Stockton to be moved to Saturday at 9:00 a.m. The Bobcats will also play two more matches on Saturday.
