Volleyball Sweeps Pitt-Bradford

Frostburg, MD - Senior Lauren Petrick (Denton, Md./North Caroline) and sophomore Kelly May (Cumberland, Md./Fort Hill) had double-digit kills, to help the women’s volleyball team defeat Pitt-Bradford 3-0 Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Arena.

The Bobcats (15-4, 2-0 AMCC) swept through the Panthers (3-9, 0-2) in three games with scores of 30-25, 30-20 and 30-16.

Petrick had 11 kills and six digs for FSU, while May added ten kills and two digs. Senior defensive specialist Sam Seyfferth (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) had 12 digs. Sophomore Amanda Hernandez (Crofton, Md./Arundel) led the team with 25 assists.

“It is a good feeling to have our second conference win under our belts,” said Head Coach Jeff Billington. “We have the bullseye on our backs and everyone is aiming for us.”

The Bobcats return to action next Saturday as they travel to Medaille at 11:00 am.
