Volleyball's Season Ends With 3-0 Loss to Penn State Altoona in AMCC Tournament Semifinals

ERIE, Pa. - The Frostburg State volleyball team’s season came to end Friday evening with a 3-0 loss to Penn State Altoona in the semifinals of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament.

FSU (13-19) lost by the scores of 30-28, 30-27 and 30-17. PSA (16-12) now moves on to face top seeded Penn State Behrend in the championship match, with the winner receiving the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Freshmen Brooke Winterling (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) posted her 16th double-double of the season with 18 kills and 11 digs.

Senior Amanda Hernandez (Crofton, Md.Arundel) turned in a solid effort in her final game as a Bobcat with 20 assists and seven kills while sophomore Jennifer Wheaton (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) had 10 digs and nine assists.

Freshman Samantha Quirin (Lovettsville, Va./Loudoun Valley) registered a team-high 13 digs.
