Whyte Earns AMCC Goalkeeper of the Week Award

FROSTBURG, Md. — Frostburg State sophomore Molly Whyte (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week Monday for the second week in a row.

Whyte made five saves in a scoreless tie game against Penn State Behrend Saturday. She extended her scoreless streak to an impressive 579:31 with her third shutout of the season.

She has not allowed a goal since a 1-0 loss to Carnegie Mellon September 21 and boasts a 0.70 goals against average, which ranks second in the AMCC.

FSU returns to action Tuesday when it travels to LaRoche for an AMCC match starting at 4 pm.
