Williams Named AMCC Baseball Player of the Week

GIBSONIA, Pa. — Frostburg State senior outfielder Lance Williams (Herndon, Va./W.T. Woodson) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week Monday.

Williams went 6-for-15 (.400), drove in five runs and scored four more times to lead the Bobcats to a perfect 4-0 week against AMCC opponents. He was also 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts.

Williams currently leads FSU with a .358 batting average. His 19 hits tie for second on the team, while his 12 RBIs rank fourth. He is also a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases.

The Bobcats, who have won six straight to improve to 12-8 overall and 5-0 in the AMCC, return to action Tuesday when they host Pitt-Greensburg in a conference twinbill starting at 1 pm.
