Women's Basketball Dumps Gallaudet

WASHINGTON — Junior Tracey Little (La Vale, Md./Allegany) scored a game-high 15 points and sophomore Kelly True (Warfordsburg, Pa./Southern Fulton) added 10 points and a career-high 13 rebounds to lead Frostburg State to a 71-31 win over Gallaudet in the consolation game of the Gallaudet Tournament Sunday afternoon.

Little added eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks and was named to the All-Tournament Team. True posted her second double-double in three games.

The Bobcats (3-2) shot 17-of-43 (39.5 percent) from the floor in the first half and held the Bison (0-4) without a field goal for over 11 minutes in building a 37-14 lead at the break. Gallaudet hit just 4-of-20 shots in the opening stanza.

Frostburg State outscored Gallaudet 34-17 in the second half and cruised to the win. The Bobcats owned a 48-28 advantage on the boards and forced 41 turnovers.

Freshman Krysten Hargrove (Silver Spring, Md./Spring Brook) scored a career-high 11 points, grabbed six rebounds and added four steals.

Eleven of 12 Bobcat players scored.

Frostburg State returns to action Wednesday when it visits Seton Hill at 7:00 pm.
