ERIE, PA — Kate Costanzo scored a game-high 19 points, and three other Penn State Behrend players reached double-digit scoring figures as the Lions downed visiting Frostburg State, 80-50, in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference game Saturday afternoon at the Junker Center.

The Lions (6-8, 3-1 AMCC) took control of the game early and built a 16-2 lead on a three-pointer by Constanzo at the 12:36 mark.

The Bobcats (3-10, 1-2) were plagued by foul trouble throughout the first half.

Junior guard Christina Bleivik (Houston, Pa./Bartlett) was whistled twice in the first minute of play, and junior Holly Myers (York, Pa./West York) went the bench with her third foul after just seven minutes.

Penn State Behrend took advantage, opening a 42-23 bulge with 2:44 left in the half. The Lions hit 12-of-26 from the field and 17-of-19 from the foul line in the opening 20 minutes.

Frostburg State cut its deficit to 16 points, 49-33, on senior Donita Valentine's (Laurel, Md./Meade) layup at the 17:03 mark, but Myers was called for her fourth foul seconds later.

The Lions dominated for the remainder of the game, with their lead reaching as high as 35 (80-45) in the closing minutes.
