Women's Lacrosse Crushes Shenandoah 19-1 to Improve to 5-0

Winchester, VA - Frostburg State scored the first 13 goals and never was in trouble as it defeated host Shenandoah University 19-1 Wednesday afternoon.

The Bobcats (5-0) had a season-high nine players find the net. Junior Page Macey (Linthicum, Md./North County), the team's leading scorer, had a season-high seven goals and added three assists on the day.

Junior Caitlin Howley (Damascus, Md./Damascus) added three goals while sophomore Stephanie Ritz (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and freshman Brittany Brumby (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) added two goals apiece.

Senior Sarah Shockley (Fallston, Md./Fallston), who played the first half in goal, got the win while making six saves. She also scored her first career goal in the second half. Freshman Ann Long (New Market, Md./Linganore) also scored her first career goal in her first career game for Frostburg State.

Sophomore Meghan Norris (White Hall, Md./Hereford) played the second half in net for the Bobcats and made seven saves on the day.

Frostburg State returns to action on Wednesday March 24th when it takes on Fredonia in Orlando, Florida.
