Women's Soccer Cracks Regional Rankings

FROSTBURG, MD — The Frostburg State women’s soccer team is ranked No. 9 in the Great Lakes region according to the first NSCAA weekly regional rankings of the 2004 season. The Bobcats (1-0) haven’t cracked the top 10 in the region since the third week of the 2001 season.

On Wednesday, FSU travels to Baltimore, Md. to battle Johns Hopkins University. The Blue Jays (2-1-0) are ranked No. 5 in the Mid-Atlantic region.

“I am very excited about the ranking,” said Head Coach Brian Parker. “It’s great to see the team receive some recognition. We have a test tomorrow in John Hopkins, so we will be out to prove we deserve it.”

The Bobcats are preseason favorites to capture their fourth-straight Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship.
